The R & D Agency is the only investigative member of the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association (MLBA), a group primarily comprised of restaurants, bars and liquor stores.  These businesses have several things in common:  they serve alcohol, cash transactions are common and theft can be rampant.  Owners and managers of these establishments are dedicated to controlling loss and eliminating or discouraging theft and misconduct.

That’s where we come in.

At our client’s request, our investigators will go undercover to perform “bar spots” and identify areas of concern. Whether IDs are not being checked consistently and thoroughly, bartenders are over-pouring or giving away drinks, or the general service or sanitary procedures are poor, we act as independent observers who gather information and report our findings. This gives our clients the knowledge they need to enact change and improvement.
